我這個月底就要搬家了，要搬去Queens, Forest Hills。其實原本怎麼也不想搬離開曼哈頓的，畢竟雖然已經在這裡住兩年了，對這個小小的半島的仍是充滿了無限的依戀與想象。最重要的是每天早上可以睡到八點半起床，半個小時梳妝打扮，九點下樓坐上在轉角處的一號車，到雀兒喜區不用十五分鐘，早上時間從容又自在。不過這一切在一個月就要成歷史了........
考慮要搬家的原因有很多，不過最主要的是我的房租居然被調漲了15%，實在是令人吐血。不過要怪自己當初簽約時沒有注意到這不是一個Rent Stablize的公寓，所以房東可以隨便調漲房租。在九一一後，曼哈頓下城的許多辦公大樓都改建成住宅公寓，一開始的時候為了吸引住戶，房租很便宜，不過慢慢的這區變得越來越受歡迎，房租也跟著水漲船高。

玩回來了很開心，所以要寫一篇遊記。Cape Cod到底在哪裡呢？她是一個半島，從麻州向大西洋延伸約60里。雖然我們從台灣來的一定沒有聽過這裡，但是這裡是東岸美國人七、八月的度假勝地，也是美國有錢人會選擇買海灘別墅的地方。要到Cape Cod還真是不容易，從紐約開車去大概要開五個多小時。我們一群人星期五晚上八點出發，晚上時二點才到位於Cape Cod半島中段位置Yarmouth的Resort - Red Jacket，我們的度假小屋。
我是第一次和朋友們住度假小屋耶，以前和朋友去海邊玩都是住Hotel, 想想去海邊玩的次數還真稀少，以前去過的海邊好像也只有墾丁，不過那也是好幾年以前的事情了，我這麼喜歡海結果老是住在離海邊很遠的地方，想想真是心酸。不過我真是喜歡這個小屋-----三房兩廳兩衛浴、開放式廚房、有陽台有後院、有BBQ有電視、廚房用具一應俱全，不過最重要的是她靠近海，一下車，就可以聽到海的聲音，感覺到陣陣吹來的海風。隔天一早起床(其實是睡到快中午)馬上去海邊一探究竟，真的只要一百步就走到了耶，海就在你家前面，感覺好棒！

最近每天早上坐地鐵、中午出去Whole Foods買午餐，晚上去Gym跑步，耳邊聽得都是 Tizzy Bac。我真的好喜歡 Tizzy Bac呀，這個台灣的團，我還在Austin唸書的時候就認識她們，忘記是怎麼知道她們的也忘記自己是如何得到她們的第一張CD, 但是她們的歌 “想要的得不到”、”什麼事都叫我分心” 陪伴我渡過了在 Austin畢業前那無聊又焦急的每個夜晚。一個朋友跟我說Tizzy Bac的意思是 “毛毛躁躁”，還真是符合我當時的心境呀。回想起來，當時只覺得兩年的碩士生涯怎麼一下子就結束了，我的英文好像一點都沒有進步，我期待的愛情兩也總是與我擦身而過、我未來的工作在哪裡、我要不要回台灣…雖然現在這些問題都被解決了，有些卻也變成更大的問題擺在眼前，但是我永遠都記得這些歌所帶給我的悸動。

如果你有機會去Tribeca 一晃，你一定會被Bouley所吸引。這家法國餐廳就座落在West Broadway和 Duane Street上，因為Bouley，Tribeca的這一個角落和其他地方很不一樣，她的存在好像一副甜美的歐洲風景畫，白色的磚牆上是木製框架的大片玻璃窗戶，花朵圖騰的蕾絲窗簾不但豐富了視覺效果更增添了餐廳的隱密性，在窗戶旁邊一字排開的鐵製花架上是綻放得五顏六色的花朵。當我走到Bouley的大門，忍不住倒吸一口氣，這厚重的拱型木色大門，讓我想到酒窖的入口，很莊重、很神秘。掛在大門兩旁的則是歐式浪漫的黑色鐵製璧燈，晚上她們散發出金黃色的燈光，更為Bouley添浪漫的氣氛。

這兩個禮拜感冒得超慘，一直咳嗽，晚上吃Nyquil早上吃Dayquil，這是美國一種紅色液體感冒糖漿，雖然止咳非常有效，但是總搞得精神沒有辦法集中。我早在二月的時候就買了演唱會的票，但是因為生病，所以一直到當天下午還在猶豫要不要去，後來意志戰勝病魔，想說豁出去了，詢問朋友後知道 Webster Hall有一些位子可以坐，坐著聽完總不會消耗太多體力吧。於是我八點準時到達Webster Hall.

I was cleaning my email box yesterday and found this email I got from my mom two years ago right before my birthday. It was not only written in English, but also written on Genie's behalf. I have to say that my mom did a great job as it is so creative, cute, inspiring and touching. It also makes me miss her a lot....thanks mom, I am a very lucky gal~

Shawn said I have been 20 years old now so maybe next year you should call me "sister". I'm not sure if I can still recognize you because I haven't seen you for a long time and perhaps you have changed a lot ( become prettier ?) or you don't smell as same as before.
Recently Mom always said "臭Genie" because I haven't taken a bath for more than one month. Still she likes to hold me, touch me and kiss me a lot. Sometimes I don't want to be disturbed so much that I had to escape away from her. " 好煩 "
This morning when I got up and saw shawn off, I was appealed by a special kind of smell which came from the kitchen. Mom was busy doing housework so I sneaked into the kitchen. To my great joy, I found a big loaf of ham at the edge of the table. When I stood up, I could just get it. How excited !! This is the first time I could take my food on my own. Holding it in my mouth and humming all the way, when I was ready to enjoy a big delicious meal at the balcony, I was caught by Mom's hands. "Genie, You are so bad...." Mom yelled very loudly as if the house would fall down. ( the earthquake happened again?) She seized the ham out of my mouth. Till then I knew I had done something wrong. I ran way and hid myself under table but Mom still chased me and gave me rods again and again.
I couldn't understand why Mom was so mean sometimes. I think you must feel the same way. It's no big deal to eat something I like. Anyway I have learned a lesson. If I were not too happy to hum to myself, Mom wouldn't hear it and find the truth. 真是樂極生悲!!!
By the way, thank you very much for the gifts you have sent to me. The more the better. Take care and look forwar to seeing you in May.

This model is also from Satoshi Kamiya's book (1995-2003). I love the design of the wings. My paper is a little bit too small therefore I can not make enough pleats on the wings as it's shown in the book otherwise it will look very beautiful. I enjoy the folding process, but my favorite step is the last step that when you try to open the wings. It makes me feel like the pegasus is alive. It's kinda like when you fold an origami crane and the last step is to pull the wings the opposite direction.
There is another pegasus model designed by Anibal Voyer which I fold couple years ago. The steps are easiier but the model is also simple and pretty.

很幸運能夠趕上The Diggs在Friction的表演。感謝Pulp先生提供的資訊。真的是久違的Live Music, 去了才發現自己有多懷念那種感覺。站在簡陋的表演場地、手上握一杯啤酒、仰著頭看著彷彿伸手就可以摸到的主唱，右前方的音箱傳來陣陣音樂就這樣把腦袋整個佔滿，沒有多餘的空間、放多餘的事情。
The Diggs 是在紐約布魯克林發跡的團，2003年秋天成立，成團還不到三年。根據網站，他們被AM New York評為Britpop and indie rock for an interesting sound that is all their own. 是我喜歡音樂的綜合體，難怪聽起來覺得有些似曾相似。有層層交疊的吉他音和優美的主旋律，通常都很合我的胃口，我是容易被討好的 :) 其中最喜歡的一首歌是 It's just like you say。
